So here we go sun-kissed skin.

Lost.

I'm lost for words. I haven't posted anything not even a single sentence for let's say... a decade? (oh, puh-leeese don't give me that look.)

I'm compelled to write at this very moment at least a few sentences to reestablish this lost connection to the cyber world. A reason for this unexplained absence is because of the accumulation of tons of school related activities. Let me start by outlining the events I had in the past few months, considering I remember every tiny bit of detail.

I have yet to survive the first hurdle which is the litmus extemporaneous speaking contest.  I have been beleaguered days before the contest because of those silly ascertainties. But nevertheless I've had managed to pull myself first place. I kept all those ludicrous ideas at the most bottom part of my mind. I cannot afford to have it distract me or else it would have tormented me to having thought of it while I was supposed to be thinking more important things.

Nov.21
This one's the most arduous yet challenging experience I was given... (drummer rolls)... Current events contestant. Yay! Isn't it exciting? Those days, if I were to be brutally honest, was the most excruciatingly tiresome, stressful yet truly memorable. I get to be in the fourth rank of all twenty-three schools participating.

Nov.24
I had a total of a day and a half of rehearsing my oratorical piece. I had just survived a towering pile of allergy-induced newspapers from PRISAA and here comes another one. I made quite a distinct impression on the judges but it wasn't enough to pull me through the top three. But all in all, it was very unforgettable.

Nov.25
We had this meaningful and memorable retreat at Guimaras. It was stress-relieving from the typical-senior life engrossed in school works blah blah.

Moving on, December was a breeze. The ringing of church bells, the smell of bibingka, carols sung, gifts-wrapped and so on. January came through. Fireworks illuminate the dark sky and lights up the horizon. Although, firecrackers are very much preferred by Filipinos because it's cheaper than fireworks.

February... had been very cruel despite my enthusiasm in acquainting with it. This month was the apogee of all mind-blowing, maddening, and demanding deadlines of all-sorts of requirements. Shall I say, TheHellMonth of a SENIOR student. And thank God, we all managed to survive.

March... these weeks had been monotonous. No more SIP's, home reading reports, or whatsoever. The same boring rehearsals everyday for our graduation... our final parting with our high school friends, acquaintances, lovers, enemies, etc.  (a separate entry for this topic).

National Achievement Test tomorrow. So this'll mean a good night to you. :)

Our Masterpiece

When the mastermind and strategist put together, you get an equal amount of wickedness as a result. This, so far, has been the greatest celebration which were engraved in my memories.

October 22

The clock was ticking.

We had run out of time.

We had given up the hopes of pursuing our plan.

We came up with a new one although not as good as the original plan. And so, moving on to plan B. When suddenly, the main foundations of Plan A was brought up and built. And within a few minutes, we were rushing about last minute instructions and the moment we knew it, it all happened smoothly.

Just when we thought, it all failed, but then who knows? Miracles happen almost every last minute. And honestly, I did quite enjoy. But as of the moment, this happiness is fading instantly.

:'(

Just happening to pass by, I miss blogging.

I call you to be in one, with me.

It was the shortest of days that I have trained and managed to merge those words that were every so often lost into the deep, cascading river of thoughts since it wasn't the only problem invading my mind.

Every minute crushes me like an empty, crystal ball being hammered. My pieces grew more and more in number. My hands were shaking and the coldness planting itself to the tip of my fingers. For a moment, I was in dilemma of the thought that all those musical words that I have been squeezing in, was fading into the deep abysmal domain of my brain. By now, I'm completely shattered. My number was up, I composed and regained myself. I built up all the confidence I could muster and walked with grace and poise as what my audience said. Though trembling in the inside but sturdy in the exterior. The sound of my heels made me feel as if I was just ordinarily walking along the silent and empty corridors in the school, it made me less agitated. The spotlight was on me, and there I started launching, as best as I could, my piece. I finished with a powerful and moving ending (as intended), smiled broadly and walked off stage.

Indeed, it was proven that with endless prayers and mountainous sweat (pun intended), we will accomplish what are minds have set upon. And just believe in yourself = a formula in achieving goals. *wink*

See you in the grand finals!

Historic Day

I'm don't sound sarcastic at all. I mean I try not to. *grins*

Once again I'm back after such a long time. Say, a millennium? I'm actually not exaggerating.  I'm just wondering how long the cyber world misses me. After all, I've been gone in order to shower you countless graces of endless stories as to where I have been, what I've been doing, and so on. Compliments to my non-biological twin for having reminded me to update my blog just minutes ago. Oh well... should I start with my rattling session then?

I think I must not burden you with the past events. Though I did make a humongous gap from the last time you've heard of me. It's just that school works and all those echos had taken up my time for blogging. Never mind about that. So what's on the list? As of now, I'm currently preparing for the inter-school oratorical contest. That'd be this week. Lots of prayers and a handful of hard work I must carry out.

Back on tract, you might be wondering what made this day "historic". Well, actually a series of small tiny bits of events. Many "firsts" for today. Such as my first in trying this whatever profit-seeking blah-blah promo which made quite a few people attached to it. I know, I know. I'm making it sound vague because it's actually not that BIG as what you assume. The thought just gave me an idea to post something and a little shake of my friend it all took for me to enter the portals of the blogging utopia. At this point, I'm having my graceful exit. I bid you all farewell. Till I shall awaken in my most deepest sweet slumber.

Wish me luck! ;)

Where for art thou summer?

I've been bitten by Lady Blog at this exact moment, thus the blogging begins. But don't expect me to keep bugging and updating the whole blog-oh-sphere, it's just quite environment-unfriendly.

The reason for having been bitten is that: I've experienced an awakening because of the tragic fall I've acquired a few hours ago. I was learning to do a few basic tricks in a skateboard and there it came: the rocky, unequal, disheveled ground. It had felt like I was flying - for a very brief period of a second - and it was as if my heart leapt out of its rib cages. And voila! I landed with a bang and unconsciously smacking my precious left hand on the jagged road. A small portion on my palm formed a kind of a discoloration.

I've still haven't experienced the dullness and tediousness that summer had been preparing. I've got five books to finish before this break ends, my piles of pieces that I'm bound to practice, a leadership camp before my two-week anticipated intense training for my violin which gives me only a week and a half of summer left. And I'm currently spending the last few moments preparing for my last year in high school and that gives me less than a week of break.

That's all for now folks! Off to the tinkerland! =D

Mountain Trekking...Last Day of COLT training

If I were to choose malling or hiking, i'd chosen the latter. Malling for me and the persons concerned is defined as: buying from food stalls, eating in fast food chains, buying something considered as new in the fashion industry, which by the way I'm sure it changes as often as the weeks pass by. Rather than stuffing yourself with excess calories and enough closet bulging apparels, why not try burning those fats almost equivalent to a hundred pound bulk. Which makes a person overweight depending on the factors such as height and health related whatever.
So hiking, that was how we had spent the last day of our COLT training...an excursion to the government protected, Maasin watershed. We had departed from school at around seven thirty in the morning and arrived exactly an hour after we had departed. Luckily, the weather had greatly improved over the past few weeks, had it been raining, surely the trekking would have been less memorable.

The first step of a thousand steps to come.

The view from the mountain across the river

After quite a few meters away from the DENR headquarters, we had encountered as much river crossing as we had been expecting. Our knee level shorts and pedals were sunk to the knee level depth of the water. We had been expecting a higher level of water since it had been raining the weeks that had passed. Paranoia had warned us, enough to make us had the entirely insides of our bags wrapped with big plastics and so our phones and cameras ziplocked. And so onwards we go, crossing rivers with zigzagging paths. Excitement rushed as every time our feet submerges in the cool clear waters. We had hurdled rivers that we were going against the current. Until we had reached a certain point known to us as the Holy Ground. Where the tour guides have that superstition that first-timers should kiss the so-called Holy Ground in order to appease the spirits and to ensure safety to travelers. And once again we had set foot to more river crossing and hiking. Since we cannot plant trees that time because the weather is increasingly hot, we were made to pick up the carabao's dried manure - which of course, smells awfully nature-ish - in order to fertilize the few inches uprooted trees, the purpose of bringing extra plastics as what we were assigned to.

The ritual ceremony of kissing the ground

After a few more hours of trekking, we've reached the place where we are supposed to have our lunch. But before we did so, we had a few more steep hill climbings, and had reached this place where unlimited spring waters flow. The water had come from the roots of the trees and cleaner than any other distilled water. And certainly tastes better.

The Return Voyage
We have climbed the mountains on the way back instead of strolling the other way
around. Which makes our return trek more exhausting. We had a good two hours and a half,
hiking the steep slopes and the ups and downs of the mountain. The highest peak we had
reached was the elevation two-hundred fifty meters above sea level. And some of which my
batch mates were struggling to catch their breathes every five minute rest.

At the end of all those trekking, I've earned myself a total of two minor injuries and one quite big
gash behind a little under my knee. And it was bleeding for a good three whole minutes.
Not to forget my tanned skin got even tanner, oh scratch that, got burned from a whole day free
burning sessions... But it was all worth while. I'm not much of a nature-ish person but I might be
considered as outgoing, adventurous in fact. And this is just one of the few I've got.

Summer just gets hotter... =D
